Climate Change — Strategies to Protect and Defend Public Lands and Wildlife

May 14, 2024

Climate change is rapidly altering many of the special places, wildlife, and communities that we love. Fortunately, bedrock federal environmental laws passed a half-century ago can help us address these changes by advocating for more protective land and wildlife management.

Join the Central and Eastern Oregon Bitterbrush Broads and Bros of the Great Old Broads for Wilderness on Tuesday, May 14 at The Environmental Center, 16 NW Kansas Ave., Bend, OR, along with Lizzy Potter, Staff Attorney at Advocates for the West, to learn about these issues and her work to protect and defend sensitive species, waterways, and communities. Lizzy will spotlight Advocates for the West’s recent victory in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, which faulted the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for ignoring how livestock grazing exacerbates the harmful effects of climate change on the threatened Oregon spotted frog.

Register to attend.
