| Advocates for the West seeks an experienced attorney to join our team of passionate environmental attorneys to protect the American West through strategic litigation and legal advocacy. The position will initially focus on assisting with existing litigation, and then expand to include a wide range of cases involving public lands, fish and wildlife, and communities. |
| The Staff Attorney works with the Executive Director and legal staff to develop and prosecute cases, both as a lead attorney and in partnership with other attorneys, depending on the case. The position entails developing close working relationships with client groups and experts, and understanding the complex legal and regulatory framework of western public lands and natural resource management. The Staff Attorney may serve on the Litigation Committee and other staff committees. The Staff Attorney mentors junior attorneys, law clerks and fellows, and assists with fundraising, communications, outreach, and administrative duties.
