Voices for the West: At the Intersection of Art and Activism

April 24, 2024

Creativity bears a unique power, capable of rendering our world in terms that can inspire movement. Today, in the face of twin climate and biodiversity crises, and ever-increasing threats to humans brought by environmental degradation, artists wield a powerful tool to bring about change by creating awareness and encouraging action.

Join us in our next Voices for the West webinar on Wednesday, April 24 from noon-1 p.m. Mountain to discuss the intersection of the arts and environmental activism with artists and educators working at this nexus. Panelists include landscape painter Rachel Teannalach; illustrator and muralist Miguel Almeida; Britt Freda, artist and Creative Director at Northwest Artists Against Extinction; and M Acuff, artist and a Professor of Art at Whitman College.
