Sarah Stellberg joins Advocates for the West after clerking for the Honorable B. Lynn Winmill of the U.S. District Court for the District of Idaho. Sarah received her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Michigan Journal of Environmental and Administrative Law and student attorney with the Environmental Law Clinic. Sarah also worked as a law clerk with the U.S. Department of Justice, Environment and Natural Resources Division, and summer associate at Van Ness Feldman, LLP. She received her B.A., summa cum laude, from Whitman College in 2009.
Sarah has a background in energy policy, having spent three years at a Washington, D.C. nonprofit focused on energy efficiency research, policy, and advocacy. She originally hails from Illinois and fell in love with wild places while canoeing Minnesota’s Boundary Waters. She is happy to be back in the West.
