January Social Distancing Hour — an online discussion of our work!

January 27, 2021

This Session’s Topic:

Our Plan for Progress:
Pivoting from the Trump Administration’s Energy Dominance Agenda to the Biden Administration’s Bold Vision for Public Lands

The past four years have been some of the busiest on record at Advocates for the West. We waged dozens of lawsuits against the Trump Administration and its egregious environmental policies. We won several precedent-setting cases, but many more are still pending before the courts. Now, as the Biden-Harris Administration takes power, Advocates for the West is poised to pivot from defensive to offensive strategies to protect the West’s treasured public lands and communities.

Join Senior Attorney Todd Tucci and Staff Attorney Lizzy Potter for a discussion of our most critical strategies and partnerships that will help restore protections for public lands and communities, which include our recent case challenging the BLM’s land use plan for the Uncompahgre area in western Colorado. Joining us will be guest panelist Tanya Henderson, Executive Director of Western Slope Conservation Center, who will spotlight that case and discuss how Advocates for the West is helping grassroots community groups like hers navigate this historic change in administrations.

Following the presentation will be a Q&A session, and the webinar will be recorded and archived along with past Social Distancing Hours on our YouTube channel. We look forward to seeing you online!
